New Jewellery Focus newsletter garners 8,900 UK subscribers

Jewellery Focus is celebrating success with its recently launched Weekly Newsletter email, which now has 8,900 subscribers in the UK and a further 7,000 on the continent, more than any other UK jewellery trade title.

The newsletter, which is mailed out on Tuesday lunchtimes, is deliberately kept out of subscribers’ inboxes until a crop of genuinely newsworthy stories from the week can be compiled, instead of emailing readers daily whether it is a ‘slow news day’ or not.

Jewellery Focus editor, Michael Northcott, said: “I and the team at Jewellery Focus are thrilled that our Weekly Newsletter has been such a success. It is encouraging to see subscriber numbers climbing every day and gives us confidence that we are adding something genuinely valuable to the conversation in the British jewellery industry.

“People do not want to be bombarded with news bulletins on days when the stories are not so important, so our strategy has been to provide a five-story digest of the week’s most important events, and also a bit of analysis in the Editor’s Blog, all just once a week,” he added.

The subscriber numbers now mean that Jewellery Focus has the widest reach both in e-newswires (total 15,900 recipients) and in print copies (7,100 recipients), when compared with all of the other trade magazines in this sector.
