NEW: Our new, next-generation website

Jewellery Focus is proud to announce the launch of its new, next-generation website.

As part of a rolling programme of investment in the Jewellery Focus brand, the website, designed afresh from the ground up, draws from the look and feel of cutting edge news sites such as Time.com, the Guardian website, and the Independent’s i100.

With the aim of making the magazine’s first-class news and feature content as accessible as possible, the pane on the left hand side of the site offers an ‘at-a-glance’ run down of the latest stories, which load instantly in the main content area when clicked.

Jewellery Focus editor, Michael Northcott, said: “We do not sit still here at Jewellery Focus. As part of our ongoing programme we considered how to go about improving our digital offering yet further. Our current site was introduced over two years ago now, and we decided the layout and format was tired – most publishers have been using this sort of blueprint for over a decade.

“We looked at media outlets known for their modern approach and high reader engagement, and decided if it is good enough for the best-known news organisations in the world, it is good enough for us. Our new site is incredibly rapid to load pages, much better organised in terms of how to find our best-in-class editorial content, and better set up to help readers share our content. Not to mention beautifully designed.

“With our re-designed print edition, the enormous reach of our email newsletters (as well as the daily metal prices featured therein), our new Jewellery Focus Visits mini-documentary series, our new, streamlined mobile site, and this cutting-edge new website, I think we can be proud of the strides we’ve made over the last 12 months.”

A range of new advertising options offering better exposure to advertisers has been introduced as part of the overhaul, including site ‘skins’, adverts in the fixed pane, and adverts in-line with content.
