Bonhams boosts global jewellery team

International auction house Bonhams has made four new appointments on its global jewellery team.

The auction house said the appointments are the result of its continued business success in fine jewellery and part of the company’s strategic plan to further strengthen its business in London, New York, Hong Kong and Geneva.

In Europe, Bonhams has hired Claire-Laurence Mestrallet, a graduate gemmologist, who is joining as a specialist within the international jewellery team, based in Geneva, while Ellen Sin has been named director for jewellery and jadeite at Bonhams Hong Kong.

The other two appointments are in the US where Dana Ehrman, a graduate gemmologist, joins as director of Fine Jewellery in Los Angeles, and Caroline Bostock as a senior specialist in the jewellery department in New York.
