Jacobs the Jewellers named UK’s ‘best jewellery retailer’

Jacobs the Jewellers in Reading has been named the UK’s ‘Retailer of the Year’ at the first-ever National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) awards.

Jacobs, which won the award at the 80th Benevolent Society Ball held in Solihull on 3 December, was selected from a shortlist of five companies through a mixture of public vote and an independent judging panel.

It was commended for its range of watches and jewellery, which had selected from across the globe, as well as its dedication to “genuinely exceptional” personal customer service.

Behind the scenes, the business was recognised for its dedication to developing its staff and innovative marketing. Also noted was Jacobs’s contribution to the jewellery industry and the Berkshire community.

Adam Jacobs, joint owner, said: “What a fabulous Christmas present. This is really an honour and caps off a tremendous year for us. I’m delighted for our customers who are the bedrock in our success.

“I’m equally proud of my team who work hard to maintain and improve the standard of service to our loyal clients.

“This is the first year these awards have been in place so to have our name on the inaugural trophy is really fabulous. We’re looking forward to welcoming old friends and showing as many new customers as possible what makes us special in this busy Christmas period.”
