TV presenter, radio DJ and model Lisa Snowdon has chosen Fairtrade gold for a bespoke pendant inspired by ancient Sanskrit symbol the Aum, to mark her 40th birthday on 23 January.

The pendant, designed and made by Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery, is made entirely from Fairtrade gold and features a laser optic cut garnet, Lisa's birthstone. Having become aware of Fairtrade gold from Harriet, Lisa was particularly keen for her pendant to be made from it.

Lisa said: "I wear chains a lot and l wanted a pendant l could wear on its own or layered with other chains. I am totally in love with it – it's beautiful – and l love that it's totally unique and made from Fairtrade gold, which helps protect the people that mine it. The fact it was designed and made by hand makes it feel really special and I am delighted with the level of workmanship that's gone into it."
