Julia Cook designs charity collection for St Mungo’s Broadway

Goldsmith Julia Cook has designed a charity collection for homeless charity St Mungo’s Broadway.

The ‘summery’ collection has been designed by Cook in an effort to raise money for the charity’s Rebuilding Shattered Lives appeal, which helps to support homeless women.

The range of gold and silver jewellery, named ‘Unity’, will see 25% of proceeds raised donated to the appeal to help provide vital services to homeless women through safe housing, education, counseling, self-defence classes and training programmes.

The collection includes friendship bracelets, 18ct gold charm necklaces with diamond briolettes, silver and gold-plated stud earrings and silver bracelets which symbolise “unity and protection”.

Emma Latham, assistant head of major gifts at St Mungo’s Broadway, told Jewellery Focus: “We are honoured that Julia has partnered with St Mungo’s Broadway. The range Julia has designed for us is truly fabulous and is such a stylish way of supporting our work.

“Her beautiful  summer collection will help raise money for St Mungo’s Broadway Rebuilding Shattered Lives appeal, which supports homeless women.”

The collection is being sold at Cook’s Victoria Park store in the Lauriston Road area of East London, where she designs and makes collections and bespoke commissions, and sell her own pieces along with those of other designers.
