Lighting specialists Parify to launch in US

Parify, which specialises in retail display and lighting for jewellers, has announced plans to expand into the US.

Co-owners Andy Twigg and Scot Walker, founded the business back in 2013 when they discovered a gap in the market for LED lighting. The company has seen “impressive growth” over the past four years, doublings its turnover each year.

Parify hit £1m turnover after four years, and due to the “rapid and unexpected” growth of the business its owners saw a new demand from customers who wanted to see bespoke furniture with Parify’s lighting technology built in. As a result Parify set up Progressive Display.

The company now supplies over 1,000 jewellers in the UK, which Parify said gives it a “great platform” to take the business to the US.

Twigg said: “People warmed to us and Parify quickly. We started very small, with a range of lights that we’d manufactured. Within that range we offered bespoke elements that no one else was making. As word of mouth got around, we grew organically and instantly.

“We are at a point where we are well known in the UK, and we also have several unique products in the portfolio which we believe in a global market would be accepted as very interesting products.”

Parify said it chose to expand in the US due to its “similarity” with UK culture, as well as the fact it represents 22% of global GDP.
