Watchfinder named in Sunday Times’ list of ‘fastest growing companies’

Pre-owned luxury watch retailer Watchfinder has been ranked 99th in the annual The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table.

The league table, now in its 19th year, ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest growing sales across the last three years.

Watchfinder announced that its annual turnover grew to £53m in 2015 and has forecasted it to reach £60m by April 2016. It said this would give it a three-year average sales growth of 42.1%.

The company claims stock funding and an “aggressive” retail strategy as the reasons behind growth, with the opening of three further UK stores in 2015 – two in London and one in Leeds.

Lloyd Amsdon, co-founder, said: “It makes me immensely proud that my school friends and I have grown our company to rank among the top hundred in the UK and that we have done so in our home county of Kent.

“2016 will see the launch of our US and Australian arms, as the Watchfinder brand moves into new territories.”

It’s believed that further Watchfinder stores will open across the UK throughout 2016.
