Fabergé unveils new Game of Thrones collaboration

The launch of the line follows the one of a kind Fabergé and Game of Thrones egg which was produced in April 2021

Fabergé has announced its new high jewellery line created in collaboration with HBO’s Game of Thrones.

The collection has been developed in partnership with Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton. The new line continues the partnership between Fabergé and Warner Bros Discovery.

The high jewellery collection lifts design details from the dramatic sets, costumes, characters and the otherworldly landscape of the Game of Thrones world.

The first “chapter” in the new line is titled “Dragon”, and features five designs, with each creation limited to just ten collectible pieces.

The launch of the line follows the one of a kind Fabergé and Game of Thrones egg which was produced in April 2021. The egg sold for $2.2m (£1.8m) to a collector.

Liisa Tallgren, head of design, said: “The Fabergé x Game of Thrones ‘Dragon’ High Jewellery capsule collection presents different aspects of the mythical creatures, and documents their journey in the series alongside Daenerys.

“From skeletal designs that reference the dragon skeletons housed in a vault in the Red Keep in King’s Landing, through to creations which showcase Gemfields’ Mozambican rubies to hint that the dragons are back and alive, ready to breathe fire.”

Tallgren added: “The crescendo of ‘Chapter One: Dragon’ is a design which spotlights a row of diamonds and rubies which metaphorically burst into flames, showcasing that the dragons are back and full of life.”
