Inhorgenta attendance matches previous year with 30,000 visitors

Major trade show Inhorgenta Munich has confirmed that almost 30,000 visitors from 80 countries were in attendance for this year’s show, which represents “the same level as the previous year”.

In a statement, the organisers said that around one third of the visitors came from abroad. Among the countries most strongly represented were Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the UK. Especially strong growth was registered from Poland, Australia, Spain, India and China.

Klaus Dittrich, chairman & CEO of Messe München International, said: “After a difficult business year for the industry, we felt a distinct upward trend at Inhorgenta Munich. In particular, we enthused our customers with our experience-oriented concept, the lavish design of the halls, the Inspiration Lab and the high-quality program of seminars.”

According to a visitor survey conducted by Gelszus Messe-Marktforschung, 99 per cent of visitors agreed the show was excellent, very good or good. A further 91 per cent “praised the international character of the exhibitors”, and pointed to a positive atmosphere in the halls and “high-quality surroundings”.

A total of 1,197 exhibitors presented their innovations and new products in the seven halls of the show, with international exhibitors increasing their share of exhibits to 581 – around 48 per cent of attendees.
