Major jewellery trade show International Jewellery London (IJL) has recorded a 15% rise in visitor registrations for its 2014 event, compared to last year.

In a sign that the jewellery industry is continuing to show signs of gaining buoyancy, the event, which this year moved from Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre to Olympia, represents a “record number” of visitors, according to the show’s organisers.

The exhibition plays host to a line-up of more than 150 companies new to the show, in addition to the hundreds which are habitual exhibitors.

Event director, Sam Willoughby, said: “All the signs point to IJL 2014 being our most exciting and productive show to date. We are really proud of the new IJL at Olympia. Not only is it an iconic London landmark, it is also the ideal setting for the unique ‘IJL experience’.”
