Matilde Jewellery has announced the launch of its new Deusa ring, which will see 10% of proceeds go to the charity Plan International, in association with International Women’s Day.

Designed exclusively for International Women’s Day 2021, the “beautiful and symbolic” recycled 14k gold and lab-grown diamond ring is “here to make a statement about female power and energy”, according to the brand.

The ring features 21 lab-grown diamonds in a wrap-around cuff style, and is said to make the “perfect addition” to a stacking set or worn alone as a standalone piece. It has a total diamond weight of 0.315c.

A tenth of all sales of the Deusa ring will go towards supporting Plan International, a charity which is committed to changing the lives of girls around the world by giving them access to equal opportunities.

Matilde Jewellery, which launched in December 2020, is a new sustainable fine jewellery brand by Matilde Faria Mourinho Felix, daughter of Tottenham Hotspur boss José Mourinho.

The brand launched to “inspire a change within an industry that has a devastating impact on some of the planet’s most fragile ecosystems and communities”.

Using only recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds, eco-friendly packaging, and transparent processes, the brand said it “cuts out intermediaries to keep the pieces as affordable, sustainable, and accessible as they possibly can be”.

The sustainable first collection takes inspiration from the movements and forms found in nature and features rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and necklaces.

All pieces are crafted from 14-carat recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds created in Antwerp. Prices start at £150.
