Goodman Bros, a Cambridgeshire-based jewellery service distributor, has moved to a new premises following the securing of a NatWest funding package.

The wholesaler, which supplies jewellery accessories and cleaning products to various clients in the UK and Europe, has achieved year-on-year growth since its inception in 2014.

In turn, the group received a £210,000 funding package which has facilitated its move into the new 5,500 sq ft complex.

The premises, comprising six offices and meeting rooms, will reportedly enable Goodman Bros to add five new staff members to its 13-strong team.

Gavin Merrison, managing director at the company, said that since it was founded, the business has grown 50% year-on-year, with the move allowing Goodman Bros to “continue this trajectory of growth”.

He added: “The pandemic has been a challenging time for many retail-focused businesses but thanks to our strong online presence, we have continued to trade and stabilise the business.

“We are now looking forward to expanding the business and continuing our trend of year-on-year growth once retail recovers post-Covid.”

Karl Simper, relationship manager at NatWest said: “With the brilliant leadership of Gavin and Philip, Goodman Bros has continually expanded and navigated the impact of Covid-19 on the retail sector.

“The support from NatWest has enabled the company to invest in its own premises to support future growth and we look forward to seeing the team established in their Wisbech office space.”
