Roseanna Croft pledges ethical gold mine support

Independent jewellery maker, Roseanna Croft, has pledged her support to ethically sourced and mined gold productions through her charitable initiatives.

Croft stated that for every piece of jewellery sold, she will reinvest a percentage of the profits into paying for a child in Colombia to take a two-day workshop, instead of having to work in the gold mines.

Additionally, for every podcast that Croft records, she will pay for a business loan for a woman in Malawi.

Croft has been demonstrating responsible sourcing practises since the business began, and pledges her support to other small businesses by working with artisan miners, goldsmiths and gem cutters to ensure the provenance of her sought-after pieces.

She said: “Through working with B1G1, I am able to make consistent and sustained commitments to supporting women and young people across the globe to access education and business support.

“By practicing what I preach, I want to use my brand to have a positive impact as well as encourage change within the trade; moving towards an industry that means you never need to sacrifice aesthetics for your ethics.”
