Ring Jewellers sees surprising upturn in ‘geek chic’ sales

Brighton-based jewellers Ring Jewellers has seen a surprising upturn in sales on what it calls “geek chic”.

For the past three years wedding rings sales in this geek chic category have doubled year on year.

The company now has a number of different types of geek chic rings suitable for weddings.

Some of the geek chic rings include Lord of the Rings inspired designs, Dr Who inspired rings and Star Trek inspired rings among others.

The rings include a number of quotes from the movies or shows or quotes in the languages from the movie/show.

Owner Stuart Stanley said: We created a few Star Wars and Dr Who themed wedding rings for clients and as soon as the designs were uploaded to our website the demand really took off. There are far more themed weddings taking place every year than I had anticipated.”

All the designs are available on the Ring Jewellers website and are available in a number of price brackets.
