Gus Jones Jewellers announces closure of 120-year-old store

Any remaining items and accounts will be transferred to its Blackwood store for collection

Independent jeweller Gus Jones Jewellers has announced that it will be closing its Bargoed store in March after 120 years of trading.

The Jones family opened its first store in Bargoed in 1903.

According to Gus Jones, it is unable to continue business in Bargoed because of rising costs and falling footfall.

It also said that customers who have outstanding repairs or special orders or savings accounts to come to the store by the end of February to collect them.
