Asian jewellery artist Anna Hu will showcase her designs in the inaugural Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie in Monaco on 25 October 2025.

The event, held at the Salle des Étoiles in the Sporting Monte-Carlo, will celebrate craftsmanship and innovation in high jewellery, bringing together international maisons, designers and collectors. A runway presentation of pieces will be followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony.

Hu, who is based in Europe, will present a selection of her creations as the only Asian independent maison represented at the first edition.

She founded her own house, Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie, after training at the Gemological Institute of America, Parsons School of Design, and Columbia University.

She also worked at Christie’s, Van Cleef and Arpels, and Harry Winston before establishing her brand at the age of 30.

Her designs are influenced by both Eastern and Western traditions, as well as her background in classical music.

Hu trained as a cellist and won China’s National Grand Prize in cello as a young musician. She later completed the owner/president management programme at Harvard Business School in 2025.

Hu’s work has achieved record sales at Christie’s and Sotheby’s auctions, and has been exhibited by institutions including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the British Museum in London.
