De Beers has released data on its fifth cycle of rough diamond sales for 2018, with revenues provisionally secured at £575m.
The figure increased by £21m compared with the previous cycle (£554m), and increased by £34m overall when compared with the same period last year (£541m).
Bruce Cleaver, CEO of the De Beers Group, said: “Sentiment in the diamond industry’s midstream is positive following the JCK Las Vegas trade show at the start of the month, and we continued to see good demand for our rough diamonds across the product range.”
