The exclusive launch party, which catered for 300 VIP guests, was opened by urban music star Labrinth and TV and radio presenter Cat Cubie.

The new flagship store, located in the Assembly Rooms on George Street, covers 2,500 square feet, including its decadent ‘Thrill Room’ and diamond lounge, which boasts its own Laurent-Perrier champagne bar – the only one of its kind in UK retail.

Some of Edinburgh’s most influential movers and shakers attended the glittering launch party where they were treated to canapés from neighbouring business, Jamie’s Italian.

Cocktails were circulated throughout the evening, including the Diamonds & Thrills cocktail created by Sloane’s Gin, the Grey Goose Passionista and Schiehallion Lager.

The glamour of the night was not lost on Capital FM’s Des Clarke, who said: “It was exciting to introduce one of the hottest artists in the UK right now. We’ve been playing Labrinth since his first single Let the Sun Shine back at the start of 2011 and it was a real honour to be part of what was a cracking night.”

ROX was founded in 2002 by entrepreneurs Grant Mitchell and Kyron Keogh and is now one of Scotland’s most exciting independent retailers with stores in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

Managing director of ROX, Kyron Keogh, said: “We’re delighted to officially launch our new store in Edinburgh, offering the ultimate luxury shopping experience for diamond lovers and luxury watch connoisseurs – this really is diamonds and thrills.”
