London Jewellery School wins HP award

The London Jewellery School has been awarded The Skills Creation award at the HP Smart Business Awards 2013.

In their second year, the awards promote the achievements of the UK’s small and medium sized enterprises (SME) by celebrating contributions to the UK economy.

The London Jewellery School was presented with its award at a glittering ceremony held at the new Serpentine Sackler Gallery in London.

Set up in 2009 by jewellery designer Jessica Rose, the school is now Europe’s largest jewellery training centre, teaching thousands of people every year how to make jewellery in three fully-equipped jewellery workshops.

Susan Bowen, chief of staff UK and Ireland at Hewlett Packard, said: “On behalf of HP, I would like to congratulate our winners and shortlisted companies. We’ve been overwhelmed by the volume of entries this year and the shortlist is a testament to the incredible energy and dynamism within the UK’s SME community.”
