Birmingham-based packaging solution providers Talbots Group experienced a 1.05 per cent sales increase year on year during December 2013.

The company saw card based packing popular amongst jewellery brands and retailers during the Christmas period, which helped to boost sales.

Julie Fowler-Drake, managing director of Talbots Group said: “Talbots Group experienced a positive increase in sales over the festive period and we noticed a change in the way retailers and brands are buying.”

Fowler-Drake added: “Card based packaging is becoming popular across our spectrum of clients, including independent retailers, because there’s so much that you can do with it both visually and in terms of functionality.”
