Theo Fennell names student winners of his Central Saint Martins competition

Renowned fine jewellery designer Theo Fennell has named the five winning students of a competition he set at Central Saint Martins as part of its design competition.

Fennell provided 14 entrants with five types of precious stone: a marquise-shaped golden beryl, a heart-shaped padparadscha sapphire, emerald-cut green tourmaline, a tsavorite garnet and a pink tourmaline.

He then asked each of the students to make a bespoke piece featuring the stones, from which the winning students would have their pieces recreated in Fennell’s own design studio, for sale in his Fulham Road shop, in London.

Of 14 students from the BA course who entered the competition, Sarah Howson, Leonid Dementier, Zuleika Penniman, Tiffany Bachler and Lola (Ying) Lou were the winners.
