Danish watch and jewellery brand Bering has parted ways with UK country manager Richard Hill as part of a restructure of its UK business. Hill had been in post for less than a year.

Bering area sales manager, Ian Latham, will provisionally take over Hill’s duties, and Lars Skjønnemann, co-founder and president of the company, will oversee all activity in the UK and Ireland.

According to a statement from Bering, Skjønnemann and his team are working on a new structure that will “meet the demands” of the UK market, with the new plans expected to be implemented at the start of 2015.

Skjønnemann said: “We want to continue our profitable growth, push the collaboration with specialist and retail trade and develop the brand further.

“After the success of our unique, designed-focused watches, we now want to take the next steps with our outstanding Bering jewellery collection. The clear, timeless design and high-quality materials, combined with a competitive price, have already proven very popular in the UK and all correlate perfectly with the Bering identity.”
