A yellow diamond given to pop singer Iggy Azalea by her partner for their engagement is worth around £250,000, according to the CEO of Gemporia.

Steve Bennett said as a stand-alone stone the central diamond would cost close to £175,000; the surrounding white diamonds are over 2 carats and have excellent clarity that would see them fetch around £45,000; whilst the setting on 18 carat white gold pushes the price tag up to approximately £250,000.

“Yellow diamonds of this size are rare,” Bennett said, “but ever since Samantha Jones flashed a magnificent specimen in ‘Sex and the City’, these stones have become increasingly ‘in vogue’. Due to increased demand, the value of yellow diamonds has soared over the past few years.”

“We often see yellow stones accompanied by more traditional white diamonds, but the cushion cut of this stone makes it really unique. To see an eight carat yellow diamond dominating the ring emphasises how popular the stone has become as well as showing off Iggy’s individual flare.

“Never one to follow the crowd, this draw-dropping ring sums up her confidence and her eye-catching style perfectly.
