Theo Fennell has announced its eleventh annual awards will take place at The Royal College of Art on July 2, 2015.
The awards recognise the achievements of graduating students from the college’s Jewellery & Metal MA programme.
Previous winners have included Victoria Delany who was awarded ‘Best Work in Silver’ in 2010, and many in past years hvae gone on to become talented and recognised young designers.
A panel of respected judges including Carol Woolton (Jewellery Editor of British Vogue), Stephen Bayley (British design critic and author) and Fennell himself will adjudicate students in the following categories:
Overall Excellence, Best Work in Silver, Best Work in Jewellery, and Highly Commended.
As well as a cash prize the five winners will each receive a Silver Pavilion Dish crafted by hand in Fennell’s dedicated workshop.
Fennell actively supports the future of the British jewellery and silversmithing industries and his partnership with the Royal College of Art is long established. He will once again be showcasing this year’s winning designs at his flagship Fulham Road store later in the year.
Work by the GSM&J students will be on display at Show RCA 2015 from 25th June to 5th July at the Royal College of Art, Hester Road, Battersea, London SW11 4AN.
