The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) attracted a record number of membership applications during this year’s iteration of Jewellery & Watch in Birmingham.

Applications came from across the whole supply chain including 17 suppliers, 17 designers, three international, one jewellery industry associate and 19 retailers.

NAJ chairman, Simon Johnson, said: “I  have been blown away by the industry support and another wonderful Jewellery & Watch show, as well as NAJ Live for the first time. I am thrilled that our new mantra to ‘make you money and save you money’ has been overwhelmingly received and we will continue to be the trade association, always here to help and advise.”

The NAJ is the new trade body formed by the unification of the BJA and the NAG. It offers targeted professional development and training, and aims to inspire consumer confidence to purchase from its members through a Code of Practice setting the highest standards of professionalism, honesty and ethical business practices.
