British jewellery retailer Astley Clarke has reported an international revenue increase of 367% in the last 18 months.
The company attributes this increase to its partnership with ecommerce platform, Global-e. Astley Clarke appointed the firm to “bolster the international ecommerce experience” for its overseas customers and drive global growth.
Astley Clarke did not provide sales figures.
But it said it expanded on its offerings to international customers by giving them the ability to pay with their local currency as well as with different local alternative payment methods.
The partnership with Global-e allowed the retailer to let international customers pre-pay all import taxes and duties and be privy to free delivery for all international orders. It also opened them up to more “convenient” domestic returns.
The company actively sells to shoppers in more than 60 countries worldwide and has seen an increase in conversion rate from non-UK visitors by more than 160%.
Scott Thomson, CEO of Astley Clarke, said: “We wanted to partner with an ecommerce provider that had demonstrated results.
“After a smooth and guided implementation process, this is just the beginning of a strategic partnership which will see us moving ahead with our international goals as we transform shopping in local markets through investment in more efficient and engaging ecommerce experiences.”
