Joe Walsh, the CEO of Laings, independent luxury jeweller and Scotland’s oldest family jeweller, opened a new £1m store in Southampton last week (Friday 15 September).
The new store is located in the city’s Westquay Shopping Centre on Harbour Parade.
The new flagship showroom replaces the former Parkhouse store on Above Bar and marks a milestone for the family-run business that has been established in Southampton for over 200 years.
Walsh said: “This store opening is an exciting move for our company and follows the recent news that we have re-merged the Laing family businesses.
“We are entering a new era with a national presence for Laings with seven luxury stores across the UK.”
Karla Ducker, general manager at Laings Hampshire, added: “Our new store looks incredible and we’re thrilled to finally open for our customers.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for Laings; we have a rich history steeped in experience yet dynamic and relevant.”
In addition to the new Westquay store, Laings has three stores in Glasgow, two in Edinburgh and one in Cardiff.
