Chisholm Hunter supports poetry charity event

SBH Scotland’s ‘A Question of Burns’ is a charity event dedicated to Scottish poet Robert Burns and was attended by more than 500 guests

Jeweller and diamond retailer Chisholm Hunter has helped specialist charity Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) to raise more than £57,000 at its annual ‘A Question of Burns’ supper.

The company donated a variety of jewellery pieces, including a set of 18ct white gold and diamond flower cluster drop earrings worth more than £1,500. It also provided a diamond pendant worth £1,495 for the silent auction and 10 TW steel watches, which were given to the winning team of a poetry quiz.

Harry Brown, managing director, said: “Chisholm Hunter has been proud to watch our relationship with SBH Scotland progress and develop over our 20-year association.

“Our pride and faith in this charity stems from the profound positive impact that it has directly on the lives of 3,500 families affected by spina bifida, hydrocephalus, or related conditions. We hope to continue to show the same commitment to SBH Scotland that they continuously demonstrate to each of their members.”

Deborah Roe, fundraising director at SBH Scotland, said: “We always look forward to ‘A Question of Burns’, which continues to go from strength to strength in numbers and gives us the opportunity to welcome so many new faces.

“Our ability to grow the event would not have been possible without the continued support of our presenting sponsors Chisholm Hunter.”
