The Betts Group has appointed David Fletcher as head of business development for its bridal division.

Fletcher has more than 30 years’ experience in the jewellery trade and has previously held senior roles at the Royal Mint, Cooksongold and Engelhard.

In his new role, Fletcher will focus on expanding the group’s wedding ring sales.

Founded in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in 1760, The Betts Group is one of the UK’s oldest family-run precious metals businesses, specialising in refining, bullion supply, wedding rings and jewellery services.

Charles Betts, managing director of The Betts Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome David to the team. His notable career in product management and business development is an unrivalled source of knowledge and experience that we can no doubt benefit from.

“This appointment will take our bridal business to the next level, making The Betts Group a go-to supplier for wedding rings crafted in fully traceable SMO Gold.”
