Sproules Jewellers in Derry~Londonderry, Northern Ireland, has unveiled its newly refurbished premises following a significant investment with support from First Trust Bank.

The new 2,500 sq ft extension has seen the creation of a new ‘Diamond Room’ with two champagne bars overlooking the city where customers can browse and select jewellery.

The new premises now also contains Wedding Ring Boutique, an extended additional jewellery showroom and watchmaker and goldsmith workshops specialising in repairs.

Sproules first opened in 1954 and later moved to its current location on Carlisle Road after the business outgrew its premises. In 2010, owner Nigel Sproule bought the adjacent building as part of their long-term vision to “become a bespoke jewellers”.

Sproule said: “Today’s retail market is evolving and to stay ahead of the curve we want to give our customers a memorable, personal experience. We invest in getting to know our customers and providing them with a unique shopping experience they can’t find anywhere else.

“With a current trend towards personalisation and individuality, we have also invested in innovative techniques to personalise jewellery quickly and to a very high quality. A greater proportion of our range than ever before is now designed and made for us exclusively, we hope to establish ourselves as bespoke jewellers.”

Jennifer Doherty, business manager at First Trust Bank added: “Nigel and the team at Sproules have been First Trust Bank customers for over two decades and we are delighted to help them continue to bring their vision for the business to life.

“Sproules offers customers more choice than ever with customers travelling from far and wide to avail of their unique collections. The team all possess exceptional customer service skills and it is great for the local area to see the number of staff employed by the business grow. We wish Nigel and the team the best of luck as they launch their new look store just in time for Christmas on the 1 December.”
