Presman Mastermelt reopens scrap metal postal service amid Covid-19 pandemic

Precious metals processing and recycling company Presman Mastermelt has announced it is restarting its postal service for customers wanting to send their precious scrap and lemel. 

The company, which is based in London’s Hatton Garden, is currently closed to visitors, and said all registered parcels will be accepted on Mondays and Tuesdays depending on staff attendance.

A statement released on the company website said: “Unfortunately, due to the staff lockdowns and social distancing measures causing a reduction to our normal staffing levels, we are not currently able to offer the usual same day turnaround.

“The prices we pay will be fixed on the day of processing rather than the day of receipt.”

The company said it will pay prices fixed on the day of processing rather than the day of receipt and  said at present can only offer payment by BACS.
