F.Hinds has revealed its plans to reopen all F.Hinds and Chapelle stores across England from 16 June, following the latest government advice for retailers.ย
The group said that customers would be able to try on jewellery and watches โwhere necessaryโ, but additional health and safety measures will be implemented to protect staff and customers.ย
Any items that are tried on will be thoroughly cleaned using specialist cleaning materials, for example, and there will also be a 72-hour quarantine facility for returned items.
In addition, a reduced number of customers will now be allowed into each store to ensure social distancing across its sites. Customers will also be served from behind screens at designated service points.
When stores reopen, all services, including watch batteries, repairs and engraving, will be fully operational, though ear piercing will not yet be available.
Director at F.Hinds, Jeremy Hinds, said: โThe safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority. We have worked hard to put comprehensive measures in place to protect everyone while still being able to welcome back our customers to our award-winning service.ย
โWe will be training all of our staff on the new procedures prior to stores reopening and implementing a strict cleaning regime.โ
