Auverture has announced its support of the urgent relief efforts in Beirut through a fundraising raffle.

The move comes after a giant explosion rocked the Lebanese city on 4 August, killing at least 200 people and injuring 5,000 more.

Auverture notes that several of its designers come from Beirut, and said “in light of our belief that as a community we should support each other”, it will now raise funds to donate to the Lebanese Red Cross and Lebanese Food Bank following the crisis.

The Auverture Raffle for Beirut has now been launched, and designers Bibi van der Velden, Daniela Villegas, Gaelle Khouri, Noor Fares, and Selim Mouzannar have each donated a piece of jewellery to the online raffle.

Participants can purchase a ticket the piece of their choice by adding the piece to their online cart and following the traditional check-out process.

Participants are able to purchase multiple tickets for each piece, or buy tickets for each of the different designs.

According to the fine jewellery group, 100% of the ticket sales will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross and Lebanese Food Bank.

Tickets are available for purchase until 16 August. Winners will be chosen at random on 17 August.
