3 pc rise in attendance at Scotland’s Autumn Trade Fair

Scotland’s Autumn Trade Fair, held last week at the SECC in Glasgow, reported 1540 visitors – a three per cent rise in attendance on last year’s event.

The show – which featured a mixture of gifts, homeware, jewellery, fashion accessories, textiles and Christmas products – hosted over 130 exhibitors and 1500 visitors.

Mark Saunders, from show organiser Springboard Events, said: “Most exhibitors reported that they took more orders than expected and were extremely happy with their results. It is a tough environment with understandably lots of caution and little appetite for risk.

“However the right products, price and customer service still tick all the boxes, and those suppliers doing this continue to outperform the market.”
