Over 100 jewellery designers entered the competition, which called on them to use Gemvision’s Matrix design software to release their inner creativity.

Alexander Davis of Alexander Davis Jewellery won the competition with his ‘Deadly Nightshade’ pendant. His prize is an all-expenses paid trip to visit Gemvision’s Design Symposium at its headquarters in Iowa, USA.

Manager of Gemvision’s UK operation and one of the judges Graham Dicks said: “We had a fantastic response from jeweller designers [across the country]. The judging process was made even more difficult with so many stunning and innovative designs to choose from.

“Alex’s pendent presented true individuality and his outstanding design concept made him a worthy overall winner. He will [now] join some of the world’s top jewellery designers at the next Gemvision Design Symposium in October.”
