Merrell Casting acquires rival Euro-Cast

The amalgamation of the two companies is expected to strengthen Merrell’s position in the field, adding to the 60 years of experience it already has in the business.

Managing director Gary Wroe has assured customers that the levels of service and accounts provided by Euro-Cast will be honoured, even after Ray Bushell’s retirement.

He said: “We assure you that we will do our utmost to make sure the takeover runs smoothly and we will endeavour to offer the same service Euro-Cast has shown to its customers over the past 40-plus years. Ray will be on hand to assist us during the transition period.

“All outstanding balances up to the 26 October will still be collected by Euro-Cast and orders placed on or after 26 October will be invoiced and delivered by Merrell Casting.”

Production will move to Warstone Lane, Hockley – Merrell’s base – but phone lines and email addresses will remain the same.
