UK-based jewellery supplier Gecko Jewellery has reported positive results from BaselWorld, having established new contacts worldwide.

The company, which distributes D for Diamond, Fiorelli and Fred Bennett in the UK, had intended to increase its international presence at the show and says it has succeeded in doing so, gaining 60 new contacts from 30 countries.

Gecko also saw encouraging results when it came to expanding into new markets. Independent retailers in Ecuador, Estonia and Brazil all “showed interest” in the brand and were among 20 new territories that could potentially begin stocking it.

Additional retailers in France, Germany and Azerbaijan, all of whom had multiple store locations, also expressed interest in stocking Gecko.
