The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) executive team has concluded a series of eleven regional meetings in May and June to discuss CMJ activities with its retail members.

The executive team held the meetings across the UK and Ireland, in Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Rugby, Wolverhampton, Newmarket, Hatfield, London, Sevenoaks, Chichester, and Bristol.

The regional meetings were held “as a way for the group’s retail members to find out more about the CMJ and how it works, and to give feedback on the strategy of the group going forwards”. Topics discussed at each event included an overview of the role and function of the CMJ and its executive team, and a presentation of the key drivers of the group as it moves forward.

CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said: “As the CMJ has grown so dramatically over the past few years, we have been listening to members who have told us they would prefer to network on a more regular basis in smaller, informal groups. This series of meetings, which we will be repeating again in the future, has proved to be extremely worthwhile in helping us listen to our membership and for our membership to more fully understand the strategy and direction that the CMJ is taking.”

The CMJ will be holding further networking sessions for members and its approved suppliers at its UK Jewellery Business Conference in October.
