Pierce Brosnan unveiled as brand ambassador of Speake-Marin

Independent watch brand Speake-Marin has announced Irish actor Pierce Brosnan will be the official ambassador for the brand. 

Brosnan, known for his iconic role in James Bond, met Peter Speake-Marin, the owner of the eponymous firm, on the set of one of his films, where they became friends.

A statement from the company said that Brosnan was an “ideal match” for the brand, citing similar roots to Speake-Marin and their passion and admiration for watchmaking. Brosnan said: “I met Peter on the set of a film in which he was a consultant for a character who was a watchmaker. We spoke briefly; we both love what we do, and myself as a lover of watches I appreciated his genuine passion and subsequent designs.

“I acquired one of his timepieces and a dialogue ensued. When Peter asked me to be an ambassador for his work it was a simple answer.”
