Jewellery designer and retailer Jersey Pearl has reported a surge in sales over the Valentine’s Day period, following an innovative marketing campaign.
The jewellers ‘Share the Love’ campaign, which culminated with an artist-lead window display, lead to a “peak in footfall” and a 39% increase in sales in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day when compared to the same period in 2015.
The shop invited consumers to make a “declaration of love” on the store window by adding their initials to a growing work of art created by full-time artist Edward Blampied, which the company said created a “hub of activity” around its King Street store in Jersey.
The campaign received high social media exposure and a guest spot on BBC Radio Jersey for Blampied whose work is a familiar site on the island.
Lucy Buckland, manager of the company, said: “This campaign has created a great vibe amongst the community, raised awareness and interest in our brand while driving sales. It is a fantastic way to start the exciting year ahead which sees a renewed focus on marketing, spectacular new ranges and some innovative new campaigns.”
The King Street boutique is the fourth outlet on Jersey for Jersey Pearl.
