Leicester-based Lumbers Jewellers has created a one-of-a-kind Premier League trophy ring, following the shock title triumph from underdogs Leicester City.
The handcrafted ring – featuring a brilliant-cut diamond in excess of 5.01-carats and certificated as G colour and VS clarity – has been designed to represent the Premier League trophy.
Lumbers announced the creation of the ring on Saturday, 7 May – the day Leicester City lifted the Premier League trophy in front of their home fans at the King Power Stadium.
Prior to the season Leicester were ranked as 5,000-1 outsiders, with pundits hailing the title triumph as one of the biggest shocks in sporting history.
Dominic Gomersall, managing director, said: “This ring is a symbol of Leicester City’s success this past season. The ring has been specifically designed to commemorate the Premier League Trophy. It is a standout piece of jewellery for both Lumbers and for Leicester as a whole.”
He added that both players and fans have expressed their interest in the ring.
Lumbers will engrave the final season results inside the shank of the ring after the season comes to a close on Sunday, 15 May.
