AD Moth Jewellers in High Wycombe has closed down after 23 years in business, following the retirement of its owner.

Tony Moth, 79, who has worked in the jewellery industry for 62 years, ran the jewellers which was located in the town’s centre.

Moth told the Bucks Free Press that he is being dragged “kicking and screaming” away from his “beloved” business, but that he and his wife are looking forward to spending time with their grandchildren and visiting family across the globe.

“It is miserable. I don’t want to go but I suppose I have got to. I will miss coming in and out and getting to know people,” he added.

The jewellers held a sale to clear its stock in the lead up to the closure and finally shut it doors last week.
