Repossi has released the seventh piece in its twice-yearly Limited Edition series, unveiling a new earring design centred on pearls.
The Paris-based jewellery house, known for its Place Vendôme atelier, said the latest edition, named the Sphere Earring, draws inspiration from ethnic jewellery while reinterpreting traditional forms in a contemporary style.
The design combines features of Repossi’s Pearl Variation ring and its sculptural Serti sur Vide line, in which diamonds are set to appear floating. Curved elements wrap around the earlobe, while pearls are positioned to lightly touch the jawline.
Repossi said the Limited Edition series gives creative director Gaia Repossi scope to explore concepts in small runs outside of its permanent collections. Previous editions have drawn on architectural and modern art influences.
The jewellery house was founded in Turin in 1957 by Costantino Repossi and moved its headquarters to Place Vendôme in 1986. It is now in its third generation of family leadership, with Gaia Repossi as artistic director since 2007.
