Dior has released new additions to its Rose des Vents jewellery collection, designed by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie.
The new collection draws inspiration from the mosaic flooring of Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville.
The updated collection includes Rose Céleste items featuring celestial motifs. An eight-pointed star is paired with sculpted gold sun and moon designs on reversible double-strand necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
These pieces have been reinterpreted in colour for the first time.
The new designs incorporate a variety of gemstones including blue, green and orange agates, sapphires and garnets.
Other pieces in the collection feature mother-of-pearl, tiger’s eye, pink opal and turquoise. The house stated the “vibrant” hues are intended to echo the Northern Lights.
The expansion also includes a limited edition watch concealed behind a medallion. The timepiece is mounted on a chain featuring pendants shaped like the bees and lily of the valley associated with the founding couturier.
Dior has limited the production of this item to 15 pieces.
