H.Samuel has reportedly donated a further £20,000 to support the Who Cares Wins Appeal for NHS workers.

The appeal, launched by The Sun newspaper, works to provide funds for health care workers during the ongoing pandemic. All proceeds raised go towards the NHS Charities Together’s Covid-19 urgent appeal.

The jeweller became the first major corporate backer for the appeal earlier last month by initially donating £50,000 to the cause.

It then pledged to donate a further £10 for each of the first 2,000 of its Chamilia woven-heart charm bracelets sold. All limited-edition bracelets have now been sold.

H.Samuel boss Neil Old said: “Sales absolutely sky-rocketed as soon as we made the announcement.

“I feel immensely proud and we can’t help but think it’s testament to the generosity of the British public and Sun readers.”

He added:“To be able to do this small thing to show our appreciation to NHS workers is wonderful.”
