British watch brand Tayroc has been acquired by independent agency Lid Project for an undisclosed amount.
The agency now plans to lead the brand into an “exciting growth stage” following the acquisition.
Since it was launched in 2014, the Tayroc brand has “grown significantly” through its UK e-commerce and social media platforms, with plans to expand further across the UK and with international retailers.
The Lid Project will initially focus on the distribution and wholesale sectors for the UK, Europe, US and Middle-Eastern territories, and is “actively recruiting” distributors and agents for these markets.
Future plans for the brand also include new product categories, a white label service and growth of the womenswear collection.
Gemma Noble, managing director of Tayroc Watches and co-founder of Lid Project, said: “I am extremely excited about the acquisition of Tayroc, we have known the brand and the previous owners for some time and have always admired what they have done.
“Tayroc is a remarkable success story which we intend to develop further. Our immediate plans are to; get to know our Tayroc (consumer) community, bring the market some unexpected collaborations and establish Tayroc alongside the best watch brands in the world.”
Tayroc collections feature premium men’s, ladies and unisex timepieces that showcase high precision stainless steel and hand-beaten leather interchangeable straps. Products are water resistant with sapphire coated lenses, complimented by cutting edge design.
