Appeal launched after £22,000 worth of jewellery stolen

Surrey Police have issued a CCTV appeal after £22,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from a Reigate jewellers in a “distraction burglary”. 

Officers were called to Philip Lloyd Jewellers in Reigate town centre following reports of the burglary, which took place on 18 July.

According to the police, the young female suspect entered the store at around 4pm.

After distracting the shop assistant, she made off with diamonds and jewellery from behind the counter that were estimated to be worth around £22,000.

The police are now looking to speak to the woman in connection with the burglary, and have launched a CCTV appeal in a bid to trace the incident.
