Rotary Watches is marking its 125th anniversary with the launch of its new Ultra Slim timepieces.
Ultra Slim is one of the principal collections from Rotary Watches. The slim timepiece has a 5.7mm of case profile, alongside “sophisticated” design details. The new collection was influenced by Rotary’s past vintage designs.
Rotary said that “part of the magnificence of an Ultra Slim timepiece is its technical achievement in watchmaking; the hidden, inner design of maneuvering the mechanics within a limited space while maintaining accuracy is truly an incredible feat”.
The components surrounding the precision movement have all been specifically designed in-house, and the design takes inspiration from the slim vintage watches within its archive.
The fine case bezel, bracelet links and faceted lugs of the new Ultra Slim have been crafted to “flow elegantly and catch subtle glimpses of light for a touch of class”, while the dial has been refined to create a “clear and contemporary” design.
Ultra Slim is available at 38mm with date at three o’clock or at 27mm in a variety of styles.
Combinations, available in stainless steel and plated variations, include classic Roman numeral hour markers with soft guilloche dial finishing; angled, faceted applied index hour markers with fine sunburst patterned dial; applied quarter hour Arabic and index with galvanic finished dial and, in 27mm, mother of pearl dial options.
Both case sizes are available with either a 7-link bracelet or genuine leather strap.
Every model in the collection is water resistant to 50M and is adorned with the 125 year celebration case back to mark the anniversary.
Matthew O’Neill, head of design at Rotary Watches, said: “Every aspect of the watch has been carefully reconsidered but the challenge was, how do you make a great watch even better.
“What better way to celebrate Rotary’s 125 years of watchmaking than to launch the next evolution of one of our most cherished Rotary collections; Ultra Slim.”
