Eco-friendly baby brand, Yummikeys, has announced its first ever adult-only jewellery design, the Ultrasound Necklace

The piece is designed with “mum in mind”, with each necklace produced engraved with a personal ultrasound image, with the idea of producing a “cherished keepsake” for customers.

According to the group, the “carefully” designed necklace disk comes with one scan engraving as standard.

Necklaces are available in silver plated stainless steel or rose and yellow 18ct gold plate, and all priced at £45 each.

On the back, optional dates, names and number of weeks can be engraved for an additional £10.

Each necklace also comes with the option to add more discs for £30 each.

Customers will be asked to take a close, well-lit photo of their scan picture and upload to the website when ordering.

All engraving is carried out by a small, family business that engraves all other Yummikeys products, based in the Scottish Highlands

Yummikeys founder, Elspeth Fawcett, said:“I have adored designing and seeing Yummikeys, Yummirings and the breast- feeding YummiNecklace come to fruition, but I wanted to make something for the mums; the ones who brought these beautiful bundles of joy into the world.

“An ultrasound scan captures such a precious moment in time and these necklaces allow us to look back before the madness started, before the whirlwind arrivals.”

She added: “But most importantly these necklaces are for all mums – those who gave birth, those who didn’t and those who didn’t get to hold their bundles for long – these are a reminder that your body created something so special and it deserves to be carried forever next to your heart.”
